Description
In 1998 I spent 3 months working at the south pole, Antarctica. I completed this batik on silk fabric soon after.
This dome was dismantled in 2010 to make way for a new south pole station.
The south pole is situated on about 2 miles of solid ice.

Carolyn, being one of the few to have experienced this place,I'm glad you decided to capture it in your work while it still existed. It's always great to see more of your work!
